Yes! I did it. I finally made my own wrapping paper. I enjoyed the process very much even though it took about an hour in total, including drying time for the paint. For my first time it was not too bad. A few tips if you are going to try this yourself: use a table, and do not over do it on the paint. When you dip your tool, make sure it is not dripping with paint because your shape will be just a little off with too much paint. Other than that, have fun!
