Claes Oldenburg

This weekend I visited the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. I discovered the artist Claes Oldenburg. He became associated with Pop Art in the 1960’s. I loved the colors and use of everyday objects in his sculptures. The scultures were fun to see and to imagine how they were made. Materials used were, Muslin soaked in plaster over wire frame, painted with enamel.
