Have you ever heard of mindful awareness? Founder of the Center of Mindfulness in Medicine Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn says, “..mindfulness is moment to moment awareness.” He explains that it is learning to become aware of what your own mind is up to, awareness of your thoughts. Thoughts cultivate emotions and learning to focus on your own inner thoughts can help you become more present in the now. Not in what happened to you yesterday, last year, or what is going to happen to you tomorrow. We can miss out on many important things in our lives when we are busy worrying about the past or future.I think the “what ifs”can stop many people from doing what they are meant to do in this world. This is something that I myself struggle with but, am learning to become aware of. Mindfulness inspired this quote I wrote down to help me be more mindful everyday.
