Yes! Since it is fancy and I love it, you get a tasty post. My first tasty post of 2014 is of my favorite cookie, the French macaron. My sister introduced me to this delicious little French pastry, and it was love at first bite. My friend Crystal and I have been baking these little morsels, trying to perfect our macaron baking skills as we go. For this try, we decided on a mint macaron. We thought it would be kind of easy since we did it once before, but we got a little too confident and burnt our first batch. The ones pictured here were our very best. They were pretty good. For full instructions on how to make them see here. We replaced the chocolate for mint flavoring, and did not add cream of tartar. Next time we are thinking coffee flavored ones. Wish us luck.
