Basquiat Inspired Look

Basquiat Inspired Look
My love for Basquiat is immense. This look is inspired by this Basquiat T-shirt I bought recently. For anyone that is not familiar with Jean Michel Basquiat, he was a street artist that grew popular in the late 1970’s and 80’s. Sad to say he died at the height of his rise to fame in 1988. I studied him in college, and fell in love with his art and talent.
I was lucky to see some of Basquiat’s art at a traveling exhibit, my heart felt full as my love for him grew. Needless to say my heart exploded when I saw t-shirts on sale with his art on it. I had to buy more than one. Oh yeah, it’s a men’s shirt :)). A little guy style never hurt anyone. I for one, love boyish looks once in a while. Can’t wait to share more about Basquiat with you on an artsy post coming soon. For now, hope you enjoy this street style look!

Black, white, and red is one of my favorite color combinations because they complement each other so nicely. Don’t you think?
Much Love,
Tania
