After reading his interview for Instyle, I appreciated Olivier Rousteign’s designs even more. His designs for Balmain took my breath away. They are inspired by pop culture and what ever is going on in the world, which is probably why his designs are so appealing. They also have a Mondrian feel to them with all the color blocking and grids. That in itself makes me love this collection.
The detail in his cut out pieces, and use of primary colors is perfection to me. He can do simplistic design just as well as more elaborately constructed designs so fluidly. Love them all so much! Just wish the price tag wasn’t so high. It would be a dream to own any of these remarkably constructed garments. Dreamy is all I can say. Are you lovin it?
